Church Hill and Unnamed Road from Bath Road to Orpenham Farm in the Parishes of Welford and Kintbury will be closed from 08:00 to 17:00 hours on 23rd April 2024, from the junction with B4000 Baydon Road to the junction with A4 Bath Road. The closure is to enable Volker Highways to carry out drainage works on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

The exercise will involve emergency service attendance in the surrounding area and on-site at RAF Welford from approximately 09:00 to 13:00. Please do not be alarmed, this is part of the exercise and presents no danger or risk. Residents adjacent to the site are being sent notification letters of this exercise.
There are no planned road closures for this exercise. However, the emergency services will be using the car park at the former ‘The Swan’ pub as a holding area, therefore there will be a number of vehicles located here for a short period.
